In the elementary grades, the students learn about the world around them in ways that make them excited to learn every day. Teachers provide activities that capture their imagination and help them remember key content. The middle school social studies class is transformed into a multi-faceted learning experience. The focus of the middle school curriculum is: Geography in the 6th grade, Civics in the 7th grade, and American History and Economics in the 8th grade. The middle school learning experience includes: interactive notebooks, collaborative projects, writing assignments, note-taking, critical thinking challenges, and problem solving group work. A wide variety of learning styles are presented, allowing students of all abilities to learn and succeed.
